Kat Dennings was born on 13 June 1986 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and was named Katherine Victoria Litwack. Ellen was her mother. She was both poet and speech therapist. Gerald, her father was a professor, as well as molecular pharmacist. Dennings grew up as the youngest in the family of a Jewish family. Dennings was educated at home and only once did she attend a traditional school. Since she started acting early she was best off homeschooling her. At 14, she finished her high school. In the age of 9, she had started performing in commercials. Following her graduation from high school she moved with her family in Los Angeles in order to explore acting. Kat Dennings is the name she auditioned under. Kat Dennings was the first actress to make her debut on the HBO series "Sex and the City" In 2000, after moving to LA. Then, she starred on the sitcom of WB "Sex and the City".
